About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and professional Retail Leasing Executive to join our Melbourne-based team. The role offers the chance to work across a varied portfolio within a robust listed REIT environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to our purpose of "supporting better communities through life's essentials.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maximising rental income, driving sustainable growth, and shaping the future success of our centres. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver leasing outcomes aligned with our Purpose, Vision, Strategy, and Values.

 Key Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day will be a blend of strategic planning, keen negotiation, and impactful relationship building. You will:

• Execute end-to-end leasing transactions, from initial negotiation to final documentation, for renewals and new deals.
• Manage leasing capital and budgets, ensuring investment is deployed into value-accretive deals.
• Minimize vacancy and downtime by proactively addressing at-risk tenancies and identifying new retail opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with retailers and external partners, including Knight Frank centre management teams.
• Develop and implement leasing strategies to optimize rental income, tenant mix, and occupancy across the portfolio.
• Provide expert advice on market trends and retail legislation to support internal stakeholders and asset growth.

 About You:

• Proven experience in retail property leasing within Australia, specifically within the shopping centre environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully executing both lease renewals and new deals.
• A solid understanding of retail leasing legislation.
• Ability to develop and manage leasing budgets, forecasts, and capital allocations with high attention to detail.
• A performance-focused mindset with the ability to optimize tenant mix and minimize vacancy downtime.
• A degree in Property, Business, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent practical leasing experience).
• A team player who can build relationships with internal lease admin and finance teams, as well as external centre management partners.
