About the Role:
At Region, we’re proud to do work that makes a difference in the lives of millions of Australians—every day. Our network of convenience-based shopping centres plays a vital role in local communities, and so do the people behind them. Whether you’re working directly with retailers, driving strategy behind the scenes, or leading teams to take it on, you’ll be part of something real and rewarding.
We are seeking an experienced, detail-obsessed Legal & Custody Administrator to join our Sydney team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the GM Risk & Compliance, you will act as the "Security Guard" of our property and legal history. This isn't just admin; it’s high-stakes governance for an ASX-listed leader.
What you’ll do:
The "Lion's Share" (Custody): Act as the final gatekeeper for every lease, title, and contract, ensuring everything is signed within delegation and officially archived.
Operational Precision: Manage the legal and compliance team invoice register , ensuring our external partners are managed with "Invoicing Excellence" and provide operational support to our Legal, Custody, and Compliance team to deliver exemplary service to Region business units.
Audit-Ready Standards: Maintain custody registers across all schemes to ensure we are 100% ready for annual audits and quarterly compliance reporting.
Stakeholder Guidance: Support the custody and compliance function and provide timely updates to internal business units on compliant document handling.
About you:
Experience: A background in records management, property law, or as a senior paralegal. You know what "audit-ready" looks like.
The Persona: You are a "get on with it" professional who values diligence and team fit. You are likely a perfectionist by nature.
Technical Skill: Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, to manage our complex registers.
Many of our convenience-based retail properties have a strong weighting to food sales, due to grocery-based anchors such as supermarkets.
Region’s portfolio benefits from long-term leases to Woolworths Group Limited and Coles Group Limited, which act as an anchor tenant at most properties.
Woolworths and Coles are Australia’s largest retailers by sales revenue and number of stores.
Region Group is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the code “RGN”.
